Stansfeld is part of the Outdoor Learning Service of Birmingham City Council and situated on the outskirts of Oxford in 17 acres of private grounds by the Shotover Country Park. It offers a residential experience to all schools and groups for up to 64 children and currently provides courses for A level and GCSE course as well as Primary aged children. The centre is also open to bookings from other groups and has various associations as customers. The grounds are mainly woodlands so excellent for orienteering, shelter building and nature studies. It also has five ponds which can be used for study. There is a low ropes course and many team challenges. Stansfeld also has a five a-side football pitch and an adventure playground. The centre can also provide sailing courses with it's local partners. Being only 10 minutes minibus journey from the centre of Oxford, the centre can also open up the world of universities and take children behind the doors to show them the need to aim higher. There are also many other attractions in the vicinity. The centre is also open to bookings from other groups and has various associations as customers. New courses to fit in with the new Geography and Biology syllabi. New sailing, canoe and kayak courses available. Star and coaching courses available through partnership with local clubs.
